NEW FOR 2008
We are pleased to be offering a two day western pleasure futurity, this class is open to horses of all ages and will run on Saturday and Sunday with the results over the two days deciding our winner.  We have $500.00 added to the futurity this year thanks to the generous support of Dryden GM.  Entries for the futurity are $50.00.  All entry money as we;; as the added money will be paid out to the top 4 horses.  All monies will be paid out regardless of class size in the futurity as well as all of our stake classes. 

 

Friday ~ Open Halter Stake Class, sponsored by Hillcrest Animal Clinic.  $250.00 added and a $20.00 entry fee.

 

Satruday  ~ Open Showmanship Stake Class sponsored by Mckinstry Chrysler with $250.00 added and a $20.00 entry fee.

 

Satruday ~ Open Trail Class sponsored by Dryden Veterinary Services with $250.00 added and a $20.00 entry fee.

 

Sunday ~ Horsemanship Stake Class sponsored by Mckinstry Chrysler with $250.00 added and a $20.00 entry fee.

 

Sunday ~ Walk Trot Stake Class open to any horse and rider combination who are not showing in riding classes at the show.  Sponsored by Dingwall Ford with $250.00 added and a $10.00 entry fee.

 

Additional prizes:

6 draws, 2 each day, for a $50 fuel card.  To be eligible you must have traveled more than 100 km (one way) to get tot he show.  The fuel cards were provided by the fundraising activities of Karen and Greg Obie.

$80.00 for the weekend includes shavings.  Post-dated cheques will hold your booking.  Cheques should be made out for June 1st.  No refunds after June 1st.  LIMITED STALLS AVAILABLE.  ONLY PREPAID STALLS CAN BE HELD.  DON’T DELAY, BOOK TODAY!


ENTRIES
Entries can be sent to address below prior to the show.  Phone, fax or email for entry forms.  Show office will be open Thursday before the show to accept entries.  Entries will be automatically entered for all three days.  Cheques to be made payable to Northern Lights Quarter Horse Association.

 
All pets must be on a leash at all times!  Not responsible for Accidents or Loss of Property.

WEEKEND CIRCUIT AWARDS
Whenever possible, special awards are given each weekend.   This may vary from show to show.
* Points are calculated as per Rule #417 of the AQHA handbook.  A condensed version is included in each member’s show packet.
* YOU MUST SHOW IN OPEN, AMATEUR, OR YOUTH HALTER CLASSES TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE ALL AROUND AWARD FOR EACH DIVISION.
* Prizes are awarded immediately following the completion of the last class of the division for which a prize will be awarded.  Winners are asked to make themselves available to the show photographer to have pictures taken for sponsors.


Halter
High point awards are given for Open Stallion, Mare, and Gelding based on the highest aggregate points awarded over the weekend.  One award for each division.
